The At-Bristol Energy Tree
If you're familiar with 'downtown' Bristol you may have come across the Solar Tree in Millennium Square. This is a project between local sculptor John Packer, individuals at Bristol Drugs Project (BDP), Demand Energy Equality (DEE) and hosted by the science centre At-Bristol.
Part of the Bristol’s European Green Capital 2015 celebrations, the 'tree' can recharge your phone and provides a wifi hotspot. It's 4.5m tall and the solar panels are taken from larger broken panels that would have been discarded.
Enjoy the video below showing the tree's design and construction in Bristol.
