Excellent water bottle. Really handy on long walks - you can refill from anywhere. The only flaw I see is that the filter doesn't go right down to the bottom of the bottle, which means you are always left with an inch or so of water that can't be drunk. Other than that I like it a lot. Jason S
Great product!!! We trekked in Nepal drinking local water and I even drank water from Delhi through this and we were never ill. Only draw back is that it's a bit slow to draw water through which put my partner off drinking from it a bit and it's a pain to brush your teeth with. If there are two of you travelling together then maybe get one bottle and one of their pump and filters so that you could filter water and then have it to hand in another bottle for drinking and teeth cleaning etc. D Johnstone
For the weight, I believe there is no better backcountry water treatment available on the market today. LifeStraw operates without chlorine or any chemicals with means no strange flavors like most other filters in the market. The flow rate is perfectly great for active pursuits, there is no moving parts to break or filters that need replacing every couple of days, and it does all this at a fraction of the cost and weight of other filter and UV water treatment options. Furthermore, what other water treatment system has been tested successfully by people on a daily basis in the most contaminated parts of our planet? A final plus is the fact that for every LifeStraw sold a child in Africa will receive clean water for an entire year! This is simply amazing. Laurits FH
